- Submit a Benefits Delivery at Discharge (BDD) claim (180-90 days out).
- Complete VA Healthcare registration and research insurance options.
- Determine eligibility for separation pay or early retirement.
- Set up a 1-on-1 session with a VA Benefits Advisor.

Logistics & Legal Readiness
- Review and update your will and other legal documents.
- Contact local transportation office to arrange Household Goods (HHG).
- Retiring: Make Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) election & complete DD 2656.
- Retiring: Sign up for post-service dental and vision insurance.

Capstone & Final Execution
- Schedule Capstone with TAP Counselor and Commander/designee.
- If under 89 days: Submit a Fully Developed VA Disability Claim (FDC).
- Obtain multiple certified copies of your DD 214.
