    FixTAP Outreach & Promotion Business Plan

    Objective

    To establish Reforming the Transition Assistance Program (FixTAP) as a credible and transformative publication within the Department of Defense, higher education, and veteran advocacy networks—leading to endorsements, media coverage, and partnership opportunities.

    Primary Goals

    • Secure endorsements from DoD leadership, CNIC, VA, and major veteran service organizations (VFW, DAV, AMVETS).
    • Promote the book through military education institutions (Navy COOL, JST, Military OneSource, FFSC).
    • Distribute digital copies to congressional staff and defense education offices for awareness and reform discussion.
    • Establish FixTAP.org (or commercewise.us/fixtap) as the information hub for TAP reform initiatives.

    Marketing & Outreach Strategy

    • Social Campaigns: Targeted LinkedIn and Facebook posts tied to federal awareness days (Veterans Day, Transition Week, etc.).
    • Email Outreach: Personalized letters to Navy, Army, and Air Force transition directors and career counselors.
    • Media Coverage: Submit op-eds and interviews to Military Times, FedGov News, and DoD Public Affairs outlets.
    • Speaking Engagements: Present FixTAP research at TAP Summit, NVTI, and IVMF Syracuse events.
    • Collaborative Partnerships: Pair with veteran nonprofits for training workshops using CRA and FixTAP frameworks.

    Revenue & Donation Model

    All profits from book sales will be directed toward supporting veteran service organizations including Navy Relief and Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Corporate or agency sponsorships can be structured as donations or event collaborations.

    Metrics for Success

    • Endorsements received from at least three major agencies or nonprofits.
    • 1,000+ verified book sales across Amazon and direct distribution.
    • Inclusion in one or more government or academic transition programs.
